I am from sunshine and snow
from rainbows and stars
I am from the driveway leading down the road
( bumpy, hot, only cold when it snows )
I am from the rose buds in the backyard
The straweberry bush just starting to grow

from fresh maple syrup and a red proud leaf
Im from christmas dinners
and thanksgiving lunch out on the lake
from suck it  up and stay strong

hot dogs and chips
im from the toe leo lost cutting the grass,
and the back my mom hurt shuveling the snow

In my dresser a lost necklace lay
spilling old memories
remembering faces
telling stories in my sleep
I am from times like these
gone before remembered
blossomed before forgotten

I am from fallen red leaves
on a trail leading to a waterfall
where photos are taken.
and while walking to the kitchen every morning
I pass by them and smile.
